Meals Ministry
The meals ministry is an excellent way to meet other people from the church and make a difference in someone’s life. Meals do not always have to be homemade. The purpose is to help someone in need by providing a helping hand in meal preparation, not to dazzle anyone with your culinary skills. In times of need, a friendly face and a meal is a true gift.
All Church Fellowship Meals
Whenever there are five Sundays in a calendar month, we celebrate the 5th Sunday with a special time of fellowship together. Following the combined worship service at 10:45a.m., we enjoy a delicious buffet dinner. Each family should bring one main dish and two sides, enough to feed the members of their family and a little extra for guests. The drinks and tableware are provided. This ministry team sets up, puts out the food and cleans up when finished.
Holiday Meals
This ministry team also coordinates potluck meals for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas fellowship dinners. For the holiday meals, the ministry team prepares the main dishes and each family should bring 2 sides (or more). The ministry team also sets up, puts out the food and cleans up for our holiday meals.
Hospital Meals
Our hospital meals ministry serves meals to members and regular attenders on a short term basis who have been hospitalized. If you know one of our church members is in the hospital or recently returned home from the hospital, please call or email the church office. The Meals Ministry team will be notified and meals will be scheduled by a team member.
Funeral Meals
After almost every funeral, there is a need for the family and friends to gather. Our funeral meals ministry provides to families of deceased members or regular attenders a meal or refreshments for this time, in our fellowship hall at no cost to the family. This ministry team sets up the room, calls members to provide food, serves the food and drink, and cleans up afterwards. If the family prefers to have this time in their home, arrangements can be made with team members.
